Pasha Respite

Because family caregivers need rest too.

Family caregivers burn out. Respite care exists so the primary caregiver can sleep, travel, or just sit.

What's included

The shape of a respite stay.

Before day one, we sit with the person who's been doing everything and write down how they actually do it. Then we do it their way.

Because Pasha holds Oregon's comprehensive in-home care license, our RN delegates your parent's medication administration, insulin, and vitals checks to the relief caregiver. A basic-license agency has to skip the pills, which means you were never really off duty.

A written handoff of routines, medications, and preferences before day one
Personal care, meals, and companionship while you're away
Medication administration and vitals checks, nurse-delegated under doctor's orders
Coverage from a single afternoon to several weeks
A standing weekly or monthly shift, if that's what rest takes
Daily updates while you're gone, or quiet, if you asked for a real break
When this is right

Three family caregivers who finally stopped.

Respite isn't about your parent needing more care. It's about the person providing it needing a real break.

A wife who hasn't slept in a year

She's been caring for her husband's dementia around the clock and won't admit she's drowning. Her daughter books us for one week. We take the days, she takes the naps, and the week becomes a standing arrangement.

The vacation that kept getting cancelled

The family trip has been postponed three times because nobody else knows Mom's routine. We learn the routine in a handoff visit, cover the full ten days, and send a short update each evening. They actually board the plane.

Every Saturday, protected

A son who works all week and caregives all weekend was running on fumes. Now a caregiver takes every Saturday, same person each time, and Saturday became his again. Recurring respite is the version most families keep.

Common questions

What adult children ask first.

For a planned break like a trip, two weeks is comfortable and lets us schedule a handoff visit first. For an emergency, call anyway. We've started respite coverage same-day when a family caregiver ended up in the hospital themselves.
