Are you a medical provider?

We're licensed by Oregon as a comprehensive in-home care agency, the highest of the state's three in-home care license classes. With our registered nurse, Dusica Drazic, RN, our caregivers can perform nurse-delegated medical tasks under doctor's orders: medication administration, insulin injections, wound dressing changes, and blood pressure and vitals monitoring. We don't diagnose, plan treatment, or provide therapy. Your doctor leads the medical plan; we carry it out at home, along with the daily care and routine that hold a person's life together.

How soon can a caregiver start?

For established care plans, same-day or next-day. For new clients, the typical timeline is: 15-minute call (same day), in-home visit (within 3 days), first caregiver visit (within a week). Faster when something has just happened.

How does billing work?

Accepted Answer

Hourly rate, invoiced every two weeks. No onboarding fees, no minimum hours after the first visit, no surprise charges. We send a plain itemized invoice.

Question 4

Do you take Medicaid?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pasha Health accepts Medicaid. In Oregon that mostly means the K Plan (Community First Choice), and Oregon Project Independence helps people who earn too much for Medicaid but still need care. Call us and we'll help you figure out which applies.

Do you accept long-term care insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes for most major LTC policies. We handle the documentation directly with the insurer. We also accept VA Aid & Attendance benefits.

What's the minimum number of hours per visit?

Two hours for the first visit. After that there's no minimum. Some clients want a 30-minute medication check-in, others want a full day. Tell us what makes sense.

Will the same caregiver come every visit?

Yes. That's the entire premise. We hand-match on language, schedule, and personality, then keep that caregiver with your parent for as long as possible. We never send a substitute without telling you in advance.

When should we start dementia home care?

Sooner than most families do. Light-touch visits during the early stage establish the caregiver relationship before your parent has trouble accepting new people. The hardest moment to start care is during a crisis.

How are caregivers trained for dementia?

Every caregiver completes our internal dementia-care curriculum before working with a memory-care client. That includes communication, de-escalation, environmental safety, and behavior-as-communication training. We also do quarterly refreshers.

Do you handle medication?

Yes, fully. Under delegation from our registered nurse, Dusica Drazic, RN, our caregivers administer medications, not just remind. That includes insulin injections, wound dressing changes, and blood pressure and vitals monitoring, all under doctor's orders. This is what Oregon's comprehensive in-home care license allows, and it's the license class we hold.

Do you serve every neighborhood in your cities?

Yes. Our 60-mile service radius from Salem covers each city we list, including outlying residential and rural addresses. We don't decline based on neighborhood.
