What it is

What comfort care at home covers.

Comfort care from Pasha is support for a person nearing the end of life, and for the family around them. It works alongside hospice, never in place of it. Hospice manages medical comfort. We provide the daily presence, personal care, and household steadiness that hold everything else together, with nurse-delegated help for routine medications when the doctor orders it.

It covers

  • Gentle, unhurried personal care
  • Favorite meals and small comforts
  • Routine medication support, nurse-delegated and coordinated with hospice
  • Presence, overnight or around the clock
  • The household: laundry, dishes, quiet order
  • Respite so family can sleep, step out, and breathe

It does not cover

  • Pain or symptom management (that's the hospice team)
  • Medical equipment management
  • Decisions that belong to your family and the medical team
How this season unfolds

Support that follows your family's pace.

There is no schedule for this season, and we would never pretend there is. Here is how our support usually unfolds, shaped entirely by your family's pace.

01

Settling in

We build the care plan around comfort, not schedules. The caregiver learns the preferences that matter now: the music, the light, the chair by the window. If hospice is involved, we coordinate with their team from day one.

02

Keeping the days gentle

Unhurried personal care, favorite foods in small portions, a hand to hold, a household that keeps running. Family gets to sit close instead of managing everything.

03

Near the end, and after

Around-the-clock presence when your family wants it, so no one is alone, including you. And we don't disappear afterward. We help the household wind down gently, at whatever pace it needs.

How we help

Six ways we help families through this.

Unhurried personal care

Bathing, grooming, and comfort at whatever pace the day allows. Dignity first, always, especially now.

Working alongside hospice

The hospice nurse manages medical comfort. We're there for the hours in between, and we know exactly when to call them.

Overnight and around-the-clock presence

Someone awake and attentive through the night, so 3am is never faced alone. That goes for your parent and for you.

Care in the language of home

English, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Ukrainian, Somali, and Farsi. Comfort comes easier in a first language.

Respite for the family

Grief starts before the goodbye. We hold things steady so you can sleep, take a walk, or just sit in the sun for an hour without guilt.

One less thing, every day

The dishes, the laundry, the quiet order of the house. We carry the practical weight so your attention can be where it belongs.

From a family

"Pasha's caregiver was with us for my mother's last two months. She kept Mom comfortable and kept the rest of us fed and sane. At the end, we got to just be her family. I will never forget that."

Common questions

What families ask first.

No, and the difference matters. Hospice is medical care focused on comfort, usually covered by Medicare. We're the steady presence, personal care, and household support that work alongside the hospice team, and we accept Medicaid for our care. Most of our comfort-care families have both.
