Why Oregon City is different

A city on two levels.

Downtown Oregon City sits at river level, by the Willamette. The McLoughlin Promenade and the upper city sit on the bluff above it, and a free public elevator climbs the 130 feet between them. So getting around here means planning for the hill. Ride options are layered too. The city's Pioneer Center runs its own rides, the county runs free rides through TRP, and TriMet LIFT changed its boundary in places after the August 2026 cuts. Because Oregon City is the county seat, Clackamas County's aging services office is here as well. Our caregivers can drive clients to appointments and errands, which helps on the days the other rides don't fit.

Local context we work with

  • Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center, on Division Street in Oregon City
  • Pioneer Community Center at 615 5th Street, run by Oregon City Parks and Recreation
  • The free Municipal Elevator between downtown and the bluff
  • Clackamas County's Aging and Disability Resource Connection at 2051 Kaen Road
  • Oregon City Transit Center, on 11th Street between Main and McLoughlin
  • Rural addresses around Beavercreek and Redland, outside the city and covered

Questions from Oregon City

Local-specific FAQ.

Yes, two. The Pioneer Center gives door-to-door, lift-equipped rides to Oregon City and West Linn residents who are 60 or older or have a disability. Rides run Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the suggested donation is $1 a trip (503-974-5514). Clackamas County's TRP gives free curb-to-curb rides to county residents 65 and older or with a disability, booked 3 days ahead (503-655-8208, option 3). When those don't fit, a Pasha caregiver can drive your parent to appointments and errands.
